How Our Waitlist Works
Please note that our waitlist is not strictly first-come, first-served.
As family physicians begin accepting new patients, they may review patients from the waitlist based on
their individual practice, scope of care, availability, and their ability to appropriately meet a patient's healthcare needs.
Each physician may have different practice criteria, areas of focus, availability, or restrictions
regarding the patients they are able to accept.
Being placed on the waitlist does not guarantee acceptance by a family physician and does not establish a
physician-patient relationship with Marine Gateway Medical Clinic or any of its physicians.
Meet & Greet
When our family physicians are able to accept new patients, they review patients from the clinic's waitlist based on their scope of practice and ability to provide the care required.
If a physician feels that a patient may be a suitable fit for their practice, the clinic will
contact the patient by email with an invitation to a Meet & Greet appointment.
The Meet & Greet gives both the physician and the patient an opportunity to
meet, discuss the patient's healthcare needs, and determine whether they would like to proceed.
An invitation to a Meet & Greet does not guarantee acceptance into the physician's practice.
Remaining on the Waitlist
Your registration form will remain on our waitlist while you are awaiting an opportunity to register with a physician.
If you find a family physician elsewhere or no longer wish to remain on our waitlist,
you may remove yourself at any time by emailing our office and requesting removal.
Please submit only one registration form per patient.
Submitting multiple forms will not increase your position or priority on the waitlist.
